This study was attempted to find out the effects of health behavior and academic stress on depression of foreign students living in Daegu and Gyeongbuk. For the analysis method, frequency, percentage t-test, ANOVA, and correlation analysis were conducted to find out the relationship between general characteristics, health behavior, and academic stress and depression of the subjects. In addition, multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the effects of health behavior and academic stress on depression. As a result of analyzing the factors affecting depression, academic stress had a significant positive (+) effect on depression (¥â=.448, p<0.001), and subjective health (¥â=-.147, p<0.01). and health behavior (¥â=-.102, p<0.05) had a significant negative (-) effect on depression. In other words, it was evaluated that the higher the subjective health level and health behavior perceived by foreign students, the lower the depression, and the higher the academic stress, the higher the depression (adj R©÷=0.251, p<0.05). These results suggest the need for cooperative and systematic support from universities and local communities so that foreign students can cope with depression by relieving academic stress and improving health behavior.
